In these two books, Farnham provides extensive and definitive data on who made what types of tools when in New Jersey. In (1), he has chapters grouping makers by the types of tools they made. An index at the end resorts them into alphabetic order. In (2), he provides both additional maker names and additional data on some ot the makers in (1). Both books are very well illustrated with both pictures of the tools and pages from old catalogs and such.

These are "must have" books for anyone with any special interest in NJ made tools, but they should provide an interesting read to anyone else with a general interest in tool making history.
