If you are going to be making wooden planes, this is probably the first book you should buy. Takes you through a series of projects from the simplest to the most complex, adding skills as needed as the planes being made become more complex. Clear drawings by the author. Includes information on how to make floats and other tools you will need, and has an appendix that explains how to calculate the proper angles for skew planes using basic geometry.
